With under 100 acres to go...

Wednesday, November 14, 2007

Soooo close! With less than 100 acres to go...Nathan comes home at 8:30 tonight. That means one thing...break down:) So what was going to be Nathan's last day, it'll now be spent repairing a major issue. Looks like Nov 16th will possibly be our last day. This by far is the latest we've been combining. With Thanksgiving around the corner, we will enjoy it even more with daddy around!

Visiting Dad in the field...

Tuesday, November 6, 2007

We went to see Nathan on Saturday. Clay LOVES the semi, especially to go on rides. He's watching Nathan from a safe distance with me as corn is unloaded.
The girls find it fun to pull the cornstalks out of the ground. They also had fun running in the corn rows. The combine was shut down, so Madison and RyLee were free to play tag and explore.

Picture time

So I ATTEMPTED on Sunday to take some fun fall pics of my kids by one of my grandpa's farms, but the photographer FAILED. Clay didn't even make it in three frames...after he wiped out in the ditch stabbing his hand on a big fat weed. So, of course, he's crying in the shots I was able to get of him:)

Fun on the corn..

Here's the kids having fun on the corn. As you can tell, its not full yet, but can hold up to 80,000 bushels of corn. Its quite a challenge to climb to the top of "the mountian," but sliding down is a great reward. Corn angels are fun to make, also:) Their cousin, Kyle, was over playing.
Kyle helping Clay to the top. As you can tell, the broken collar bone on RyLee hasn't slowed her down at all.

Finally...to the top!

Where's October?

Sunday, November 4, 2007

October was here...and now its gone!!! Its obviously been a long time since adding to our family blog. Nathan's still in the fields and I'm growing, two months left until Baby Fishback arrives! RyLee did break her collar bone on Monday. She fell off the slide at the babysitters. She's doing great. Here's some more pictures. I'll be adding more this week, a little behind schedule.
Nathan did get the crop ring up. Here I am! My sister, Megan, went along with me at my last two weddings to help out. I had her snap a picture of the "photographer" to show all of our family and friends how much I've grown. I did have a funny, but embarrassing moment last week...I couldn't fit into the booth at a Mexican restaurant in town. I was dying laughing while my friend Julie was asking for a new table. Thank God for friends:)
